So, I really, really hate doing this, but I added this to my page a while back. Yea, a donation button. Uh… *sighs* I’m broke as fuck, my family is broke as fuck, we’re all in debt and literally just making it by, surviving on money dad makes, paycheck to paycheck and we pretty much just ran out of money, currently. I’m still looking for a job, and mom is off and on, though it seems like she’s still being difficult about it. Dad’s the only one with a job, and it’s a shitty job with really weird and shitty hours so the pay varies.

I’ve been getting interviews for jobs every now and again, but… it’s incredibly few and far between. It’s ridiculously difficult to get a job in this market… I’m putting a decent amount of applications and hearing barely anything back from anyone I’ve sent out applications to. It’s not for lack of trying, I assure you…

Any money will either go toward food or bills, whatever comes first, honestly. At this point, food and bills are more important than anything else that is needed.

My PayPal email is chasechan2050@hotmail.com and here’s the link to donate if you wanna do that/think it’s easier:

“Eat” the damn Play-doh cookies.
Slurp the invisible soup.
Pretend that they’re not causing grievous bodily harm as they “brush” your hair.
Always be serious when asked what you’d like for dinner, and never say something silly like rabbit soup. Because they will go get their stuffed one off the bed, put it in your best pot, and fill said pot with water. Then place it on your desk.
Greet their make believe friends and ask how their day was.
Always kiss the teddy bear goodnight. It has feelings too.
Always pretend to die when they shoot you.
If you are having a fake war with them and you shoot them and they say they can’t die because they are invincible, you don’t shoot them again, because they are invincible.
Yes, their drawing does look like a butterfly, not a bunch of jumbled up lines.
Them pounding on the piano is the best thing you have ever heard.

no but seriously it’s very important to a child’s development to not be shut down by parents and other caregivers

once when i was little i gave my mum a bowl full of buttons and she got really into pretending it was real food. when she asked me ‘is it soup?’, i turned around, and with the most disapproving glare just went ‘no. it’s buttons’.

This is what pisses me off about Tumblr. You all say you’re so accepting and you don’t want to offend anyone, but then thousands of people reblog something like this because Christians aren’t the minority. You wouldn’t want to offend a Muslim, and if this were offensive to them or another minority, there’d be so many comments about it. But everyone is completely fine with offending a non minority. “You’re not oppressed, you can’t talk!” You know what? I’m a Christian and this offends me and my faith, but nobody’s going to care about that because I’m not oppressed. Tumblr is hypocritical and that needs to stop.

Amen to the comment

Oh my precious lambs:

Examine why you are being offended. Because this is literally how a sunset works. There is not room for debate on this question. There is less room for debate on this than there is on just about any other thing. We are not reblogging because Christians aren’t the minority, dear ones. We are reblogging because after the debate a few days ago, creationists were given the opportunity to pose a question for non-creationists. One of these questions was:

"How can you explain a sunset if their is no god?" (sp.)

Questions, we assume, are posed so that someone might answer them. And yes, there is an answer of how exactly one can explain a sunset given the absence of a divine force. Now, you can certainly posit that God is the creator of all things and so all things came from him including the sun and light refraction and anthrax and kittens and famine and all that jazz.

But you don’t get to deny that THIS IS HOW A SUNSET WORKS, and of the necessary elements of this equation (Sun + Atmosphere + Angle = Sunset), God is not one of them. That’s because everything else is an observable phenomenon, and God is not. You can explain a sunset without God. You can go ahead and believe that God’s part of it all. That’s cool. Lots of people believe stuff like that, and I encourage you to delve into the ways that people make science and their faith jive. But if you are offended by being shown the basic scientific principals behind a sunset, you must be offended by damn near everything. And that seems exhausting.

In short:

People getting butthurt over science, fucking love it.

"Stop teaching science, it offends me"

Yeah, (most) science is true, but it is only true because of God. Yes, this is how a sunset works. But it wouldn’t have to happen. There doesn’t need to be a scientific explanation for it at all! In fact, God could suddenly decide, ya know what, I’m gonna change how a sunset works and all of you scientist would be so messed up and you would have to find a different way to explain what happened. I am not offended by this because I accept that people believe what they want. Do I agree? No! But I’m not gonna be a bible thumper. However, it is true on what was said about other religions and what not. If this brought down Muslims or something everyone would be mad. But because it is Christians, it’s all okay! I just think everyone needs to think about that a moment. Why is it okay to make fun of one religion, and not another?

This isn’t making fun of religion, she was asking how the sunset works and she got an answer whether she liked it or not. I can sit here and ask how does the sunset work if Apollo didn’t exist since in Greek mythology (which used to be religion) he is the god of the sun.

It’s all that is after that. All I’m saying is everyone believes different things, and everyone should respect that. It goes for Christians too! To me, there wouldn’t be a sun set without God! He set the world into motion, and He keeps it that way. You go with the scientific reasoning, and that is perfectly fine with me. I just wish that this place that was supposed to be “judgement free” was actually judgement free.

Alrighty then, question: How did god create light before he created the sun?

Also she spelled “there” wrong.

I… wat?

Carefully notice the lack of logical thinking here. She’s not even following the line of questioning.

When privilege is in question, no matter how ignorant or intelligent a person is, they tend to retreat to illogical arguments that are easily refuted and they kinda resemble toddlers, except I actually like toddlers and toddlers make more sense.

And honestly, many White women would not tolerate such ridiculous arguments, lack of empathy and self-centeredness ("why bring up race if it’s not a problem for you?") if the question was gender and a White man posed this foolishness to them. They wouldn’t tolerate it. They would easily expose the ignorance. But magically when privilege (in this case White privilege) is in question, all bets are off.

The last GIF explains my life in so many ways… *rolls eyes*

The weirdest thing is that though this is from a satirical show (The Daily Show) and meant to discuss racism with humor, these are the real answers that most Whites give daily, so I couldn’t really laugh this time. I just felt tired.

the perils of trying to communicate this to white people in debates. in the many debates I’ve had the chance of witnessing, race comes up about 80% of the time, when discussing this in a diverse setting. and for whites, sometimes their mindset is ‘oh, why are they pulling the race card.’ but for blacks it’s, ‘understand that purely based off of what I look like, I will experience something totally different, give me the chance to explain.’

this always makes me cringe

Friendly reminder that you don’t always know what’s going on on the other side of the screen…

I really worry sometimes people might be like this when talking to them

please if you’re a friend or anyone really and you’re ever upset like this don’t try and hide it, I’m always willing to be a shoulder to cry on :c

basically.

I’ve done this so many times, it’s depressing.

Please.
If any of you are ever down and ever need anyone to talk to
Tell me
I’m always, -always- open to talk
And even if I’m not, I know people who will be.
Seriously.
